Steal An Egg Wiki
By and Collect Rare Pets
Steal An Egg has no trade window and no codes: a pet is worth the income per second the developer set on it, scaled by its mutation and size. Every pet's income, its zone and its egg are here, with the zones in order and the speed each one needs.

Steal An Egg is a base builder with a theft loop bolted to the front of it. You run out to one of eleven zones, take an egg from a nest while its guardian chases you, carry it home, place it at your base to hatch, and the pet that comes out pays income every second for as long as it sits in your pen. Then you spend that income on speed and go somewhere further out. Servers hold seven players, and the other six can steal from you.
It launched in July 2026 and ships an update most weeks, which is why the pet roster moves as fast as it does. Every pet's income per second, its zone and its egg are on the Steal An Egg pets list, and the zones in order with the speed each one asks for are on Steal An Egg zones.
How to play Steal An Egg
- Start in Forest. It is the only zone with no speed requirement, and its guardian is a chicken.
- Carry an egg back to your base and place it. It hatches on its own timer, from seconds to hours.
- Put hatched pets in your pen. Each one pays income per second for as long as it stays there.
- Spend that income on the treadmill. Speed is what opens the next zone and what outruns its guardian.
- Claim the free rewards for liking, favouriting and joining the group. They pay speed straight away.
- Buy pen slots as you can afford them, so more pets are earning at the same time.
What actually compounds in Steal An Egg
- Speed is the whole game
- Every zone past Forest has a speed gate and every guardian is faster than the last. Income buys speed, speed opens the next zone, and nothing else in the loop compounds like that.
- Do not enter a zone at the minimum
- Meeting a zone's requirement gets you in. Getting out past the guardian with an egg in your hands is the number that actually matters, so clear the gate comfortably rather than exactly.
- Night is a hatching window
- The map turns to night roughly every four and a half minutes and placed eggs hatch up to thirty times faster while it lasts. Put your slowest eggs down before it starts, not after it ends.
- Nests refill every five minutes
- Eggs respawn across the zones on a five minute cycle, so a nest you just emptied is worth circling back to instead of running somewhere harder for the same egg.
- Colour and size roll separately
- Colour multiplies income from Silver at 1.2 up to Shattered at 4, and weight is rolled on its own. A plain pet at a huge size can out-earn a pretty one at a small one.
- Saturday is the good hour
- Admin Abuse runs for about an hour most Saturdays before the update, with server-wide income and luck boosts and limited eggs about. An hour of that is worth several ordinary ones.
Mistakes that stall a Steal An Egg base
- Hoarding eggs instead of placing them. An egg pays nothing until it hatches, and the timer only starts once it is down at your base.
- Filling every pen slot with Forest pets. Slots are the limit on income, so a starter pet occupying one is money you are not making.
- Pushing a zone your speed cannot leave. Reaching the nest is the easy half; the guardian takes the egg back on the way out and the run is wasted.
- Waiting for codes. Steal An Egg has never issued any, and the videos promising them are promising something the game does not do.
- Agreeing to a trade. There is no trade window, and the gift button is one way, so anyone proposing a swap is proposing that you gift first.
What players make of Steal An Egg
The game launched in July 2026 and already carries around 93 percent positive from more than a million and a half Roblox votes, which is a quick start even in the steal-and-hoard genre it belongs to. The loop is the appeal: it explains itself in half a minute, there is always a next zone with a bigger number in it, and other players in your base turn an idle game into something with stakes.
The complaints are the ones this genre always collects. Progression turns into waiting once the eggs get slow, being robbed while offline is either the best part or the worst depending on the server, and a weekly update cadence means a pet list from a video last month is already behind the game.
Steal An Egg terms
- Zone
- One of eleven areas from Forest to Titan Temple. Each has its own eggs, its own guardian and, past Forest, a speed requirement to enter.
- Guardian
- The creature that chases anyone carrying a stolen egg out of a zone. Later guardians are faster, so meeting a zone's speed gate is not the same as escaping it.
- Speed
- The stat that gates zones and decides whether you outrun a guardian. It comes from the treadmill, from hatch rewards, from the free like-and-favourite gift and from Robux.
- Income per second
- The cash a pet pays while it sits in your pen, shown on its card as $/s. It is the developer's figure for that pet, not a price and not a trade value.
- Colour mutation
- An aura rolled at hatch or applied later that multiplies income: Silver x1.2 up to Shattered x4. Also called a mutation or a variant.
- Size
- The weight roll, shown in kilograms on the pet card. Rolled separately from colour, so a pet can be Golden and Giant at once. Giant is x3 and Huge x5 on the wiki.
- Grow time
- How long a placed egg takes to hatch, from about 10 seconds for a Chicken to around 16 hours for the rarest eggs. Nightfall speeds it up.
- Hatch reward
- The one-off speed and cash a pet grants when its egg hatches, listed on its card beside the income.
- Limited egg
- An egg sold in the store or dropped during Admin Abuse for a short window. Its pets show Event as their biome instead of a zone.
- DNA copy
- Stealing a pet's DNA rather than its egg. The victim keeps the pet and the thief hatches a copy, which is why copies do not make a pet rarer or cheaper.
- Gift button
- The only way a pet moves between players: a one-way gift given standing next to someone. There is no trade window and no escrow, so a promised swap is a promise, not a trade.
- Egg reset
- Every five minutes the eggs sitting in zones respawn, so a zone picked clean is worth a second visit shortly after.
- Night cycle
- Roughly every four and a half minutes the map turns to night and placed eggs hatch up to 30 times faster while it lasts.
- Admin Abuse
- A community-reported weekly event, about an hour each Saturday before the update, with server-wide income, luck and mutation boosts and limited eggs. The schedule is not published by the developer.
- Pen
- The slots at your base where hatched pets sit and pay income. More slots means more pets earning at once.
- Treadmill
- The machine at your base that trains speed. Upgrading it makes later zones reachable and the walk back with an egg survivable.
Steal An Egg questions
How do you get speed in Steal An Egg?
The treadmill at your base, the one-off hatch rewards new pets give, and trails. Speed gates every zone past Forest and decides whether you outrun a guardian, so it is the stat everything else exists to feed.
What is the best pet in Steal An Egg?
The highest income per second you can actually reach, once its colour mutation and its size are applied. The Steal An Egg pets list carries the developer's figure for every pet alongside the zone it comes from.
Can you trade pets in Steal An Egg?
No. There is a one-way gift button and nothing else, so a pet handed over is gone. Anyone offering a trade is asking you to gift first and trust them for the other half.
Are there codes for Steal An Egg?
None have been issued. The game gives speed for liking, favouriting and joining the group instead, and those are claimed in-game rather than typed into a code box.
What is Admin Abuse in Steal An Egg?
A community-reported event of about an hour most Saturdays before the weekly update, with server-wide income and luck boosts and limited eggs dropping. It is the most productive hour of the week to be online.
How many zones are in Steal An Egg?
Eleven, from Forest to Titan Temple, each with its own eggs and guardian and, past Forest, its own speed requirement. They are listed in order on Steal An Egg zones.
