The eleven Steal An Egg zones, which the wiki also calls biomes, in the order you reach them: from Forest with no speed requirement to Titan Temple at 7 billion speed, each with its guardian and every pet whose egg spawns there, ordered by income. Zone order, speed gates and guardian names are read from the community wiki's Area table, which itself notes that the figures come from community documentation and that sources disagree on Jungle and Prehistoric; where a zone's own page disagrees with the table, both readings are shown.

The pets under each zone are the same pets as the Steal An Egg pets list, grouped by the biome on their card, so the two views never disagree; tap any pet for its full card. Income is the developer's per-second figure for a plain pet. There is no trading in Steal An Egg and no pet has a price, and pets change hands only through a one-way Gift button, so treat any proposed trade with the caution that deserves.

How to read the zone list

Order
The progression number. Zones sit progressively farther from base, and the walk back with an egg gets longer with each one.
Speed required
The speed needed to enter, as the Area table writes it. A tilde or a range means the wiki marks the figure approximate. Entering is not escaping: guardians in later zones catch players who only just qualify.
Guardian
The creature that defends the zone's eggs and chases anyone who picks one up. Cherry Blossom's guardian is disputed between the table and the zone page, and both names are given.
Pets
Every pet whose card names this zone as its biome, highest income first, with its rarity, egg and grow time. Event pets from limited eggs are listed separately after the zones.

Common zone mistakes

  • Entering at the minimum speed. Meeting the gate lets you in; carrying an egg back past the guardian needs a margin, and the wiki's own tip is to train well beyond the minimum.
  • Taking the biggest egg on the first run. Larger eggs roll larger sizes but weigh more and slow you down, so a zone you can only just enter is a zone for small eggs first.
  • Ignoring the five-minute egg reset. Eggs respawn on a timer, so a zone that looks empty refills; waiting beats walking to the next zone underpowered.
  • Skipping the walk back. Every zone is farther from base than the last, and a heavy egg slows you, so a fast guardian in Snow or Volcano ends more runs than the gate does.
  • Treating the speed figures as exact. The wiki itself marks several as approximate and says sources disagree on Jungle and Prehistoric; use them as a floor.

Steal An Egg terms

Zone
One of eleven areas from Forest to Titan Temple. Each has its own eggs, its own guardian and, past Forest, a speed requirement to enter.
Guardian
The creature that chases anyone carrying a stolen egg out of a zone. Later guardians are faster, so meeting a zone's speed gate is not the same as escaping it.
Speed
The stat that gates zones and decides whether you outrun a guardian. It comes from the treadmill, from hatch rewards, from the free like-and-favourite gift and from Robux.
Income per second
The cash a pet pays while it sits in your pen, shown on its card as $/s. It is the developer's figure for that pet, not a price and not a trade value.
Colour mutation
An aura rolled at hatch or applied later that multiplies income: Silver x1.2 up to Shattered x4. Also called a mutation or a variant.
Size
The weight roll, shown in kilograms on the pet card. Rolled separately from colour, so a pet can be Golden and Giant at once. Giant is x3 and Huge x5 on the wiki.
Grow time
How long a placed egg takes to hatch, from about 10 seconds for a Chicken to around 16 hours for the rarest eggs. Nightfall speeds it up.
Hatch reward
The one-off speed and cash a pet grants when its egg hatches, listed on its card beside the income.
Limited egg
An egg sold in the store or dropped during Admin Abuse for a short window. Its pets show Event as their biome instead of a zone.
DNA copy
Stealing a pet's DNA rather than its egg. The victim keeps the pet and the thief hatches a copy, which is why copies do not make a pet rarer or cheaper.
Gift button
The only way a pet moves between players: a one-way gift given standing next to someone. There is no trade window and no escrow, so a promised swap is a promise, not a trade.
Egg reset
Every five minutes the eggs sitting in zones respawn, so a zone picked clean is worth a second visit shortly after.
Night cycle
Roughly every four and a half minutes the map turns to night and placed eggs hatch up to 30 times faster while it lasts.
Admin Abuse
A community-reported weekly event, about an hour each Saturday before the update, with server-wide income, luck and mutation boosts and limited eggs. The schedule is not published by the developer.
Pen
The slots at your base where hatched pets sit and pay income. More slots means more pets earning at once.
Treadmill
The machine at your base that trains speed. Upgrading it makes later zones reachable and the walk back with an egg survivable.

What are the zones in Steal An Egg in order?

Forest, Lake, Desert, Jungle, Snow, Volcano, Abyss Ocean, Prehistoric, Cosmic, Cherry Blossom and Titan Temple. Titan Temple arrived with Update 2 in August 2026, so guides written before it list ten zones.

How much speed do you need for each zone?

None for Forest, 900 for Lake, 10,000 for Desert, around 40,000 for Jungle, around 170,000 for Snow, around 700,000 for Volcano, around 2.5 million for Abyss Ocean, 17 to 18 million for Prehistoric, 700 million for Cosmic, 2.5 billion for Cherry Blossom and 7 billion for Titan Temple, per the wiki's Area table.

How do you get into the next zone?

Reach its speed requirement; nothing else gates it. Speed comes from the treadmill and its upgrades, from hatch rewards, from the free gift for liking, favouriting and joining the group, which is worth 10,000 speed, and from Robux in the shop.

Which zone has the best pets?

By income, the later the better: Cosmic holds the Divine Unicorn at around $1B/s and Titan Temple the Eternal Gorilla King at around $880M/s, and the pets list ranks every pet by that figure. The best zone for you is the farthest one whose guardian you can outrun with an egg.

How often do eggs respawn?

Every five minutes, per the wiki. Each zone has its own set of eggs, and a nest that has just been raided refills on the next reset.

Where do event pets come from?

From limited eggs in the store or during Admin Abuse rather than from a zone. They show Event as their biome and are listed after the zones.
