Every Steal An Egg pet with a page on the community wiki, ordered by the income per second it pays in your pen. That figure is the developer's own number from the in-game index, read from each pet's wiki card, and it is what people mean when they ask for a Steal An Egg value list, tier list or pet index: there is no trade window in the game, so no pet has a market price. Income is the only measure that exists, and it is the one shown here.
Each card also carries the pet's rarity, the zone its egg spawns in, the egg's name, how long the egg takes to hatch and the one-off speed and cash it pays on hatching. Tap a pet for the full-size card. Filter by biome to see one zone at a time in progression order, or by rarity to compare tiers. The Steal An Egg zones map shows the same pets grouped under each zone with its speed gate and guardian.
One warning that belongs at the top: pets move between players only through a one-way Gift button used standing next to someone. There is no trade window and nothing holds the other side to their word, so anyone proposing a swap is asking you to gift first. Treat every trade offer as a scam unless you are happy to lose the pet.
How to read the pets list
- Income
- The pet's income per second as the wiki states it, from $1/s for a Chicken to around $1B/s for a Divine pet. A Normal-size pet with no mutation pays exactly this; the wiki's formula is base income times colour multiplier times size multiplier.
- Rarity
- The game's ladder: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythic, Cosmic, Secret, Eternal and Divine, plus Event for limited pets whatever their card colour.
- Biome
- The zone whose eggs hatch this pet; the wiki calls zones biomes and the card uses that word. Event means a limited egg from the store or Admin Abuse rather than a zone. The name links to that zone's entry.
- Egg
- The egg you steal to get the pet. Eggs and pets map one to one, so the egg is named after its pet. Egg colour changes how the egg and pet look, not what they pay, so go by the egg's shape.
- Grows in
- The egg's hatch time at normal speed. Nightfall cuts it sharply, and Admin Abuse boosts stack on top.
- Hatch reward
- The speed and cash granted once when the egg hatches, separate from the ongoing income.
Common mistakes with Steal An Egg pets
- Reading income as a trade value. Nothing is traded in Steal An Egg, so a $60M/s pet is not worth some number of $3K/s pets; it simply pays more while it sits in the pen.
- Comparing base income to a mutated pet's card. A Golden Giant pays 7.5 times its base figure, so the number in someone's pen can be far above the number listed here for the same pet.
- Chasing a colour. A gold or rainbow egg is the same pet at the same income as the plain one; only a colour mutation on the hatched pet changes the figure.
- Grabbing the biggest egg at the minimum speed. A larger egg rolls a larger size, but it is heavier and slows you, which is how a guardian catches a run that would have made it with a smaller egg.
- Judging a zone by its top pet alone. The rarest egg in a zone spawns rarely; the zone's ordinary eggs decide what a trip usually returns.
- Gifting first in a trade. The Gift button is one-way with no escrow. Once a pet is gifted it is gone, whatever was agreed.
Where these numbers come from
Each row is read from the pet's own page on the community wiki, which carries a card with the pet name, egg name, rarity, biome, income per second, hatch reward and grow time, and the list refreshes daily with the wiki revision recorded on every row. Income figures are stored exactly as the wiki writes them and also parsed to a number for sorting, so $2.8K/s and $220K/s sort correctly. Pets the wiki lists in its data module but has not yet given a page, such as the Rift pets added in Update 3, are absent until a page exists, and nothing is filled in from other sites.
Steal An Egg terms
- Zone
- One of eleven areas from Forest to Titan Temple. Each has its own eggs, its own guardian and, past Forest, a speed requirement to enter.
- Guardian
- The creature that chases anyone carrying a stolen egg out of a zone. Later guardians are faster, so meeting a zone's speed gate is not the same as escaping it.
- Speed
- The stat that gates zones and decides whether you outrun a guardian. It comes from the treadmill, from hatch rewards, from the free like-and-favourite gift and from Robux.
- Income per second
- The cash a pet pays while it sits in your pen, shown on its card as $/s. It is the developer's figure for that pet, not a price and not a trade value.
- Colour mutation
- An aura rolled at hatch or applied later that multiplies income: Silver x1.2 up to Shattered x4. Also called a mutation or a variant.
- Size
- The weight roll, shown in kilograms on the pet card. Rolled separately from colour, so a pet can be Golden and Giant at once. Giant is x3 and Huge x5 on the wiki.
- Grow time
- How long a placed egg takes to hatch, from about 10 seconds for a Chicken to around 16 hours for the rarest eggs. Nightfall speeds it up.
- Hatch reward
- The one-off speed and cash a pet grants when its egg hatches, listed on its card beside the income.
- Limited egg
- An egg sold in the store or dropped during Admin Abuse for a short window. Its pets show Event as their biome instead of a zone.
- DNA copy
- Stealing a pet's DNA rather than its egg. The victim keeps the pet and the thief hatches a copy, which is why copies do not make a pet rarer or cheaper.
- Gift button
- The only way a pet moves between players: a one-way gift given standing next to someone. There is no trade window and no escrow, so a promised swap is a promise, not a trade.
- Egg reset
- Every five minutes the eggs sitting in zones respawn, so a zone picked clean is worth a second visit shortly after.
- Night cycle
- Roughly every four and a half minutes the map turns to night and placed eggs hatch up to 30 times faster while it lasts.
- Admin Abuse
- A community-reported weekly event, about an hour each Saturday before the update, with server-wide income, luck and mutation boosts and limited eggs. The schedule is not published by the developer.
- Pen
- The slots at your base where hatched pets sit and pay income. More slots means more pets earning at once.
- Treadmill
- The machine at your base that trains speed. Upgrading it makes later zones reachable and the walk back with an egg survivable.
Steal An Egg pet questions
Is there a Steal An Egg value list?
Not in the trading sense, because the game has no trading. The nearest thing is income per second, the developer's own figure for each pet, and this list is sorted by it. Any site quoting a trade value for a Steal An Egg pet is inventing one.
How do you get a specific pet?
Steal its egg from the zone on its card, carry it back to your pen and wait out the grow time; eggs reset every five minutes, so a nest that is empty refills. The zones map lists the speed each zone needs. Event pets come only from limited eggs in the store or during Admin Abuse.
Can you trade pets in Steal An Egg?
No. Pets change hands only through a one-way Gift button used next to another player, with no trade window and no escrow. Informal swaps rely entirely on trust and are a common scam.
What is the best pet in Steal An Egg?
By income, the Divine pets at the top of the list, around $1B/s before mutations. In practice the best pet is the highest-income egg you can carry home from a zone whose guardian you can outrun.
How many pets are there?
The count at the top of the list is every pet with its own wiki page at the latest check. The wiki's data module names around 120 in total, and the ones without a page yet, including the Update 3 Rift pets and several event pets, appear as soon as a page exists.
Do mutations and sizes change these numbers?
Yes. Income here is the base figure. The wiki's formula is base income times colour multiplier times size multiplier: colour mutations run from Silver at 1.2 to Shattered at 4, and Giant is 3 and Huge 5, so a Golden Giant pays 7.5 times the number listed.
How long do eggs take to hatch?
From about 10 seconds for the starting pets to around 16 hours for the rarest, as the grow time on each card says. Placing eggs just before nightfall hatches them up to 30 times faster.
Every fact on a card is read from that pet's wiki page or the wiki's own list, with the page revision recorded on the row; nothing is estimated. 1 of 1 shown carry an income figure. An item with no usable picture shows a simple icon.
